PEKKI PURPPURA

Pekki Purppura is a researcher with an interest in examining policies from psychological and cultural levels of analysis. His geographical areas of expertise include the Nordic countries, the Chinese region, and the Indo-Pacific

 

He has a plethora of professional and cross-cultural experience around the globe— in Europe and Asia— in professional services, business consulting, cross-country recruitment for specialist positions, procurement, and clinical psychology settings.

 

He holds an MSc in Psychological Studies from the University of Glasgow, an MA in Chinese Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a BA (Hons) in Classical and Modern Chinese from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. His recent research includes published work on the Chinese Communist Party’s United Front strategy at work in the UK, which informed the UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Command Paper Refresh (DCP23). 

 

He is fluent in Finnish, Swedish, English, Mandarin Chinese (simplified form Chinese), and Cantonese Chinese (traditional form Chinese).
