UTSAV MUKHERJEE

Utsav Mukherjee is an attorney based in New Delhi. His practice areas are intellectual property, technology and commercial law. He also consults on matters of intellectual property and technology policy, in domains such as anti-counterfeiting, intermediary liability, privacy,  fintech, competition law and the like. He has been a counsel on several writ petitions, in constitutional matters.

Appearing and representing clients regularly before the Intellectual Property Division (IPD) of the Delhi High Court, Utsav Mukherjee is abreast with day-to-day developments in IP jurisprudence. Further, filing and end-to-end registration of trademarks and copyrights forms a major component of his work. He also deals with domain name disputes before the WIPO and NIXI. In the domain of tech law, he drafts privacy policies, terms and conditions, contracts and SAAS agreements, often. He also assists his clients, which include both startups and established players, in navigating the rigours of the regulatory regime in India. In certain areas, such as cryptocurrency, he also advises on cross border and international regulations. He also advises regularly on labour, employment, and other commercial law issues for enterprises of all sizes. 

He has also been a counsel on various writ petitions, in constitutional matters. He has also taken up projects involving consultancy and deep research, writing, on public policy.
